I want to make a snowman. I have no idea how you’d even go about making one. Do you gather snow in buckets or with shovels? Do you literally make progressively larger spheres to be stacked one on top of the other or do you make one giant blob that you shape into the traditional snow man look. And seriously, do you really use a carrot stick for his nose and lumps of coal for his eyes? I wouldn’t know.
You hear of wish lists or buckets lists made full of things you want to do, try and see within your lifetime. What are my other bucket list items? Is any of it realistic in terms of my ability to accomplish them, or are they pipe dreams? My snowman is a realistic wish list item. I’m reasonably sure it will happen one day. My desire to jump out of a perfectly good airplane is another that, for some is unrealistic, for me will happen within the next 5 months at the most. My wish to walk along the Avenue des Champs Elysess is little more than a pipe dream.
I want to be kissed in the rain. I want to wake up Christmas morning to snow on the ground. I want to live in a paid-for house. I want to graduate from college. I want to vacation in the Virgin Islands. I want to stand in the bottom of the Grand Canyon. I want to regain my ability to read and play music. I want to find true, everlasting love.
What do you want?
