Another meme, graciously stolen from the Refugee.

  1. If you had to move away from your current city, what two or three cities you’ve never visited would top your list of choices? Dallas, TX and Lynchburg, VA. Opposites for certain but both I’ve checked into for visiting with friends and family. Dallas is attractive obviously because my sister lives there, there are big city amenities yet small town charm in the suburbs. Lynchburg just seems like a beautiful, small southern town that has a lot going on for families, experiences the full range of weather seasons and I’ve gotten to be friends with several amazing women who live there, so it wouldn’t feel so strange to move there and not know anyone.
  2. What was the last thing that stayed in Vegas? A seriously crazy date that thankfully stayed in Tampa actually.
  3. You are about to be snowed-in for two days and can pick any non-spouse, non-romantic partner, non-one of your children to be with you. With whom would you like to be snowed-in (real life friend, and/or person you’ve never met)? My friend George. He is the kind of person you can sit with on the couch, talk to for about 68 hours straight, never get bored and never repeat a subject. He would totally play silly board games with me, watch movies and best of all – he’d do all the cooking!
  4. What song should be kept in a case that reads “break glass in case of emergency or Lisa is really depressed or being a raving lunatic? A song to calm me down or get me all riled up? If you’re looking to calm me down then put on some praise & worship music – some Mark Schultz, Chris Tomlin, or better yet…Casting Crowns. If you’re wanting to turn the raving lunatic into a rioting raving lunatic, Evanescence ought to do the trick.
  5. What was the first book that changed your sensibilities? Reading Forever by Judy Blume as a 12 year old really rocked my world. Reading Left Behind by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins rocked my soul.
  6. When meeting someone of the gender to which you’re oriented (professionally, socially, casually, on a train, wherever,) what’s the first thing that you notice about them? First impressions lend themselves to superficial observations, so I have to go with height, then looks. I’m 5’6″ and historically have preferred dating men at least 6″ taller than me (however I did seriously date a man the same height as me and then my ex-husband was less than 2″ taller – go figure). After that, I’m checking out his shoes.
  7. If you won a $1,000 today, how would you spend it? I can guarantee you I’d use it to pay towards a debt. I am heavily focused right now (in a Dave Ramsey sort of way) on becoming 100% debt free.
  8. A great first date must involve ____________, and how does your answer change when in a relationship and it’s a date night? Attention. Not only attention to detail, but attention to me. Copious amounts of attention paid to me.
  9. Upon a final edit, I realized that this question was a duplicate of #5. Given that I have about three minutes to publish before leaving, and all of the art and everything else is labeled with Baker’s Dozen meme, what question do you wish I would have asked? No clue and it’s getting late so I’m taking this as a free pass.
  10. What was the worst job you’ve ever had, and how much money would you have to be paid to do that job again for a year? Secretary/Receptionist for an environmental consulting firm’s 4-person field office. BOR-ING! If they paid me double what I’m making now I’d consider it.
  11. If you were guaranteed honest responses to any three questions, to whom would you direct questions, and what would you ask? 1. Are you gay? 2. Do you regret marrying her? 3. Could we ever be more than just friends? Sorry…no way I’m naming names.
  12. As you’ve gotten older, to which list have you added more items: list of romantic deal-breakers, or list of romantic must-haves? What was the latest item added to either list? That’s the same list in reverse! I’ve definitely added more to the must-have list. The last item? Emotional stability & good credit. So.not.kidding.
  13. What is your most frequently occurring day dream? That I have found the oneand he’s real and he fulfills my must-have list as much as I fulfill his.
